Education

The Ford’s Theatre Society education initiatives explore the leadership and legacy of Abraham Lincoln and the world of Civil War Washington. The updated Theatre with a new lobby space opened in February 2009. The renovated downstairs museum, telling the story of Lincoln’s presidency, opened in summer 2009. The Center for Education and Leadership, which will house additional gallery space, as well as education studios, is slated to begin construction the following year.
